Het ontwerp “Dwaallicht” is gepresenteerd aan de leden van corsogroep Kwintet. Hierop maken wij samen ons ontwerp bekend aan de buitenwereld. Met dit ontwerp zal Kwintet in 2017 deelnemen aan het bloemencorso van Lichtenvoorde, waarin ik voor het eerst als ontwerper zal optreden.
Dwaallicht is precies wat je ziet, én meer. Een imposante verschijning met een monsterlijk karakter. Deze hengelvis zal worden aangekleed met verschillende details en enkele verrassingseffecten. Bewegende onderdelen zullen de show moeten gaan stelen. Op naar het bouwseizoen!
// The “Dwaallicht” design has been presented to the members of corso-crew Kwintet. Therefor we are now unveiling it for everyone to see. With this design the crew of Kwintet will participate in the 2017 flower parade of Lichtenvoorde (The Netherlands). This will also be my first time as a designer in this annual flower parade.
What you see is what you get, and then some. That’s what Dwaallicht is all about. This will be a monumental and monstrous sculpture, decorated with various details en and some hidden surprises. A couple of moving parts should make this a showstopper. Let the build begin!

“I’ll look at it at the time”. Met die uitspraak zorgde Donald Trump voor veel commotie. Mogelijk zal Trump de uitslag van de Amerikaanse verkiezingen niet accepteren. De Amerikaanse presidentskandidaat deed al eerder prikkelende uitspraken, maar wellicht heeft hij hierbij zijn kansen verspeeld.

In 2017 zal ik voor het eerst optreden als ontwerper in het bloemencorso van Lichtenvoorde. Samen met corsogroep Kwintet gaan we de uitdaging aan om hier een unieke creatie te presenteren. Aan de hand van deze banner brengen wij vast de titel van het ontwerp naar buiten. Het geeft een hint naar wat “Dwaallicht” zal gaan worden, zonder dit op voorhand te verklappen. De ontwerptekening zal binnenkort volgen, waarop de maquette voor begin volgend jaar op het agenda staat.
// For the very first time I’m about to enter the Flower Parade at Lichtenvoorde (Netherlands) as a designer. Together with the crew of ‘Kwintet’ we are taking on the challenge to building an unique float. Through this banner I made we announce our collaboration and the title for the upcoming float. The illustration gives you an idea what “Dwaallicht” (*) is about, without giving away that much. Soon the actual design will be online as well, followed by the scale model at te beginning of 2017.
* The title is somewhat of a Dutch pun, but can best be described as a false light…
