The Cartoon Movement bracht mij op de hoogte van de campagne rondom de Iraanse cartoonist Eaten Fish. Met bovenstaande cartoon heb ik hierin een bijdrage willen leveren.

Eaten Fish is the pen name of a 24-year old Iranian cartoonist currently interned in the notorious Manus Island immigration detention camp in Papua New Guinea. The camp is funded and overseen by the government of Australia. He is the recipient of this year’s Courage in Editorial Cartooning Award.

Australian cartoonists have started a campaign to urge the Australian government to release Eaten Fish. We join this campaign with a series of international cartoons in support of our colleague.
